Naomi Grand papers 1945-1982.

The collection contains the personal and professional correspondence of Naomi Grand, a research assistant for the American Jewish Committee. Included in the collection are resumes, work reports and research memoranda covering a variety of topics, such as the role of mass media in American society, Jews and civil rights, and American Nazism. A number of letters of appreciation are included in the collection, as well as other written requests for her research services. Among her correspondence are some personal letters and greetings cards, together with a folder of undated photographs.

Naomi Grand was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania around 1900 to an immigrant family from Lithuania. She worked as a librarian in Harrisburg for many years and then moved to New York City where she began working as a researcher for the American Jewish Committee. She died in New York in the 1980s.
