Letters to Manuel García Morales and José Joaquín de Arrillaga, 1772-1789.

These three letters, written by Ortega to fellow soliders Morales (HM 16588) and Arrillaga (HM 16589-16590), contain particulars about the exploration of California. HM 16588 also contains a receipt for money received from Morales. Dates are as follows: 1772, April 7 (HM 16588), 1786, April 10 (HM 16589), and 1789, January 6 (HM 16590). In Spanish.
