Robert Proctor letter : London, England, to [Sir Sydney Carlyle] Cockerell, 1903 [Mar.?] 30.

Handwritten note on letterhead stationery of the British Museum thanking Cockerell for not charging fees to Proctor's "account for the Laxdale map." He writes in a playful manner about the possible causes for not charging him such as a desire to get rid of him "on any terms" and asserts "there is a third possibility; that I should pay you out another way; but the consequences would, I warn you, be exceedingly unpleasant - to you!"
