The family correspondence consists of letters between Charles and the Keithahn family while Charles was away from home. Much of the correspondence discusses his student life. Charles Frederick Keithahn attended the University of Chicago where he received his B.A. (1963) in economics and statistics and his M.A. (1966) in economics. Starting in 1965, Keithahn taught economics at Kansas State Teachers College (now Emporia State University) and later at Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kansas.
