Collection, 1951-1995, about the "Yesteryear House" in Central Mine, Michigan, a mine clerk's house that was first rented, and then bought and restored by the Stetter family. It was opened to the public for tours while still maintained as a summer residence for the family. Includes several leases between Reuben Stetter and the Calumet and Hecla Consolidated Copper Company, promotional material for the house, a register for visitors, photograph albums, and historic research as well as appraisals from several companies made when Charles Stetter was ready to sell the property.

R. Charles Stetter was born on January 23, 1919 in Laurium, Michigan. He attended the local schools, graduating from Calumet High School in 1937. After a short stint in Detroit, Stetter served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. After the war, he attended the University of Michigan, eventually earning a graduate degree in education.
