Archibald Gracie III, 1858-1912, was the son of Brig. General Archibald Gracie, Jr., CSA. The Gracies were a prominent New York family and the owners of the Gracie Mansion in New York City. Gen. Judson Wade Bishop was born June 24, 1831, in Evansville, New York, the son of the Reverend John F. and Elena Brown Bishop. He had a brother, John F., and two sisters, Anna and Lena.
