Robert C. Sandall was born in Calif. on June 25, 1924 and enlisted in the Army at Los Angeles, Calif. on January 25, 1944. At the time of enlistment he was single had completed 4 years of high school and working in a grain mill. Sandall joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Swift, Tex. where he was assigned to Battery B of the 616th Field Artillery Battalion. He fought during combat operations in Italy, and returned to Camp Carson, Colo. as a Technician Grade 4. Sandall died on June 22, 2007...
