Memorandum of agreement, 1816 February 12.

Copy of an agreement among William C. Gilman of Boston, Abraham Lott and Edward Seaman of New York City, William Williams of Stonington, Connecticut, and William Williams Jr. and Calvin Goddard of Norwich, Connecticut. The several parties have agreed to establish at Norwich, Connecticut, a factory for the cutting and heading nails using water power. The company was to be called Norwich Nail Manufacturing Company. The company was capitalized at $12,000.00.
