Booklets and miscellaneous materials relating to the christening and commissioning of the USS Chafee (DDG 90), November 11, 2002 and October 18, 2003, respectively. Most of the collection consists of materials treating the ship's commissioning, including invitations, guest lists, passes, booklets, the ship's coat of arms, first day postal covers, speeches, a videotape, planning files, a plankowner's plaque, a commemorative medal, a poster, and newspapers clippings. There are booklets of the keel laying and the christening of the ship in 2001 and 2002 as well.
