Scrapbook of correspondence kept by Louis Ames of Hartford, Connecticut. Includes telegraphs, some from his son, Robert. Following Robert's sudden death, the telegraphs were sympathy notes. Robert was a stage and screen actor, and Louis received sympathy from actress Ina Claire, Paramount Director Berthold Viertel, and at least one of Robert's ex-wives, Frances Goodrich. Other handwritten sympathy notes are included, too.
