August Lewis Polier (1922-2000) was an architect based in Raleigh, North Carolina. He received a B.S. in architectural engineering from North Carolina State College in 1949, and worked for architect Richard L. Rice and later for the firm of Cooper, Haskins & Rice. In 1955 Polier began working with Jesse M. Page, and later became partner in the firm. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s the firm changed names several times.
