The Jerry Elmer Lambdin Collection, a series of the Baptist Sunday School Board Records, consists of 12 linear ft. of material contained in 25 document boxes. The collection includes correspondence training union, lessons, convention programs, and speeches. Four boxes in the Lambdin Collection include material belonging to Lambdin's wife, Ina. The collection also contains audio recordings, photographs (including images from Lambdin's experience in Europe), scrapbooks, and museum artifacts.

Affectionately known as "Mr. Training Union" for his prolific publications and avid promotion of church training programs, Jerry Lambdin began his career at the Baptist Sunday School Board in 1925 as the associate to Landrum Leavell in the Department of Student Work. In 1929, he became secretary of the Board's Baptist Young People's Union, where he served until 1959. Before joining the Board, Lambdin was a Sergeant in the First World War.
