Cornell University Class of 1913. Leslie Clute was born in Corning and attended Elmira Free Academy (where he also played baseball) before winning a scholarship to come to Cornell in 1909. At Cornell, he was a member of Psi Upsilon, Quill & Dagger, Aleph Samach, and Dunstan.
