Fifty eight (58) volumes of diaries and scrapbooks, each in a loose-leaf binder, created by railroad worker Harley K. Hallgren of Portland, who was active in local Christian organizations. Contains materials or copies of information dating from ca. 1800-1976. Also includes one (1) folder of news clippings and ephemera relating to the Battleship Oregon, and eleven (11) vintage photo prints. Included with the photos are images of hikers on Mt. Rainier, the Portland Hotel, and interior of St. Helen's Hall, Portland, ca. 1918.
