Account book and ledger of British Army in America, 1759-1760.

This account book and ledger was kept from November 1759 through September 1760 by British Army forces in America during the French and Indian War. The volume contains a record of food, clothing, and general supplies purchased by British officers of the 44th and 46th regiments, 4th battalion Royal Americans, Artillery, Hospital, etc., as well as records related to interpreters, sutlers, and traders at Niagara, Oswego, Fort Stanwix, Fort William Augustus, and other locations. Includes the names and rank of officers, including General Gage, Colonel Hadimand, and Colonel Bradstreet. On parchment.
