John Williams Gould (1840-1915), a son of Rufus and Mary Henry Gould was born in New Braintree, Mass. He taught school in Ware and Hubbardston, Mass., before joining the Union Army in 1861. After his discharge in 1862 he moved to Westboro to study dentistry with his uncle, Samuel G. Henry. Gould opened an office in Oakham in 1864 but moved to Worcester in 1865, where he remained until his death in 1915. He married Nellie Melissa Muzzy (1855-1959) and the couple had six children. ...
