Frank Branch Riley scrapbooks, 1896-1900.

Collection consists of three scrapbooks kept during his student years at Stanford, which include programs, clippings, photographs, class registration cards, and other memorabilia. Many of the newspaper clippings include illustrations and there are a number of pencil and ink illustrations done on the scrapbook pages. The Glee Club's tours and performances are a primary focus; other subjects include football games, faculty-student baseball games, Kirmess parties at the Museum (charity fund raisers), dormitory life, theatrical performances, and commencement activities of 1900.

Frank B. Riley earned his A.B. in economics at Stanford University in 1900; he pursued a law career in Portland, Oregon. As a student he was a member of the Glee Club, associate editor of the 1900 Quad, assistant editor of the Daily Palo Alto and the Sequoia during his junior and senior years, and a participant in many student theatricals.
