The bulk of the collection consists of letters sent to his parents in Norfolk, VA, regarding the courses and training at OCS, Newport, RI, and his problems with various courses that he was not passing. The collection includes photographs of Parker, his friends, and of the Newport Naval Base and hospital. Miscellany includes postcards from Europe, a pencil sketch of Parker and a newspaper clipping about the USS Forrestal.
