Christ carrying his cross meeting St Peter as he flees from Rome; set into an elaborate frame and surrounded by sculptures. From a set of prints by Bartoli with the history of Sts Peter and Paul, which was intended to be painted in the Loggia del Benedizione in the Vatican after Lanfranco: 'Disegno della Loggia di San Pietro in Vaticano dove si da la Benedizione. Opera che devea dipingersi dal Cava.re Giovanni Lanfranco da lui delineato et intagliato da Pietro Santi Bartoli'. Plate numbered "15" upper left.
