Papers consist of correspondence, ephemera, printed material, clippings, and miscellaneous items chiefly pertaining to Charlotte Lide McCrady and her husband John McCrady, Jr. (1921-2007). Papers of Charlotte Lide (McCrady) consist of correspondence, including postcards, valentines, and greeting cards; ephemera; school records (1932-1940); three autograph books (1934-1940); and juvenilia. Other items in the collection include booklets (1952-1990) pertaining to the Carolina Yacht Club; a poem (n.d.) entitled "40 South Battery"; ephemera (1941-1976); correspondence of Mr. and Mrs. John McCrady, Jr. and other family members; photographs; and a few papers relating to the estate of Mrs. Jane Shackelford McCrady (died 1935).
