Diary written by the supervisor of a group of boys travelling to Australia. No particular migrant scheme is mentioned. He lists the boys' names then describes the voyage ; inspections; daily bathing parades; games; sports, with the individual events described; having photos taken; weather; food; complaints about the noise and bad language of the boys from other passengers; punishment for misbehaving; going ashore at Cape Town; taking on coal; rough seas; the author getting reprimanded from the Captain for not keeping the boys under control, and his distress at this criticism, as he says he should have had more support from the Captain; forming a vigilance committee to deal with the problem. The diary ends before arrival in Australia, on 10 August, and records show that the vessel arrived in Fremantle on 11 August.
