John Ellingsen Interview, 1999.

In this interview John Ellingsen discusses his early work for Bovey Restorations, beginning in 1972; his work on China Town; acquiring the buildings and inner fixtures; consulting with Mr. Wong from Butte; acquiring and moving buildings into Nevada City; and the filming of the movies "Little Big Man" in 1970 and "Missouri Breaks" in 1975 and the various buildings and additions that were made to accomodate this process. Charles Argalis Bovey was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on May 1, 1907. His parents were Charles Cranston Bovey and Kate Koon Bovey, and his siblings were Martin Koon Bovey and Ruth Bovey Stevens. The Bovey family was part of the Washburn Crosby Milling Corporation, which became known as General Mills.
