Practical staff notes : approved by General Hartung, Commandant, L'école superieure de guerre, 1935 / translated from the French by Harold M. Rayner. [1936?]

"The number of staff conferences given at present to students at the École supérieure de guerre is very limited. It has therefore appeared necessary [to] group in one document basic facts which each graduate student should have concerning the main staff problems and especially those dealing with the organization of large units, the formation and operation of staffs, the execution of marches, [and] the organization and operation of the various services of supply and maintenance. In the preparation of these practical staff notes reference has been fully made not only to existing documents, but also to lectures given and works published at the École supérieure de guerre from 1924 to 1934 relative to staff duties"--Introduction.
