Carl Oscar Nelson was born in Minneapolis, August 6, 1894. to Rev. Ole Akesson and Ella W. (Holmes) Nelson. He married Edith W.Rignell, June 4, 1917, in Minneapolis. He was graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1921. Ordained a Lutheran pastor in 1924, he served parishes in Iowa and Minneapolis. He died in Minneapolis, August 25, 1965.
