Composer. Bene Gibson Smyth was an Australian composer of songs for children. She was born Robina Gibson Hunter at Sandridge, near Bendigo, Victoria in 1883. She married James Stuart Smyth in Newmarket, Melbourne, in 1910 and had three children. Bene Gibson Smyth died in Ourimbah, New South Wales in 1966.
