Warren Grant Magnuson (b. April 12, 1905, Moorhead, Minn.-d. May 20, 1989, Seattle, Wash.), a U.S. Representative and U.S. Senator from the State of Washington, graduated from the University of Washington law school in 1929 and served in several local and state-wide political posts until 1936 when he was elected as a Democrat to the U.S. Congress.
