The Farmers Home Administration (FmHA) superceded the Farm Security Administration in 1946, making loans for farms, homes, and community facilities in low-income, rural areas of the United States. In 1994, the U.S. Department of Agriculture was re-organized and the functions of the FmHA were transferred to the Consolidated Farm Service Agency.
