Album of newspaper clippings from a variety of Australian newspapers relating to discussion of Australian Federation. Main source newspapers include the Argus, the Age and the Daily telegraph, Melbourne. Also includes a number of broadsides relating to Federation (mainly from Queensland); a ms. ink letter to Henry Parkes signed by the secretary of the Australian Club in Melbourne, [Indecipherable name] C. Hamilton; 2 invitations addressed to Henry Parkes and 4 telegrams to Henry Parkes from Charles Carrington. The newspaper articles, the letter, the invitations and the telegrams are dated 1890, the broadsides were probably published ca. 1899.
