Mexican legal documents, 1670-1763 (bulk 1670-1700).

Collection of [31] unrelated manuscript legal documents (some incomplete) on stamped paper leaves for various two-year periods (1642-1643, 1654-1655,1656-1657, 1660-1661, 1668-1669,1673-1674, 1679-1680, 1699-1700, and 1762-1763). Thirty of the documents also bear the royal stamp of King Charles II for the years 1670-1671, 1676-1677, 1683, and 1700-1701 probably indicating the date the papers were actually used and submitted; one document, stamped for 1762-1763, bears the royal stamp [undated] of King Charles III of Spain. Contents include include signed depositions and testimonies, wills, ship manifest inventories, etc.
