Montgomery family papers, [ca. 1862-ca. 1963].

The Montgomery family papers consist of correspondence and cattle feed research materials from several members of the Montgomery family. The majority of the correspondence is from Mary Montgomery (Mrs. Frank C. Montgomery), and concerns her work at the Kansas State Historical Society, her work in the Woman's Kansas Day Club, and her support for various political candidates including Charles Curtis. Included are materials that Mary Montgomery created while working at the society such as a brief biography of notable Kansans. Other correspondence is from William P. Montgomery and David Hall Montgomery. The remaining bulk of the collection includes research notebooks and article drafts submitted to Feedlot magazine, created by George A. Montgomery, concerning the Midwestern cattle and feedlot business and economics.
