Manuscript on Hadith, being an abbreviated version of the commentary of ʻAbd Allāh ibn Abī Jamrah (d. 1300, Koran and Hadith scholar) on al-Arbaʻūn al-Nawawīyah (a collection of forty Hadiths, i.e., sayings and deeds of the Prophet Muḥammad, intended to summerize the Islamic doctrines) selected by al-Nawawī (a famous and prolific Muslim scholar from the village of Nawá in Ḥawrān, Syria, an authority on Hadith and Islamic law) mostly from al-Bukhārī's al-Jāmiʻ al-ṣaḥīh and Muslim ibn al-Ḥajjāj al-Qushayrī's al-Jāmiʻ al-ṣaḥīḥ by Aḥmad ibn Ḥijāzī al-Fashnī (d. after 1570, an Egyptian Shafiite Muslim scholar). Copied and owned by ʻAlī Khafājī ibn Muḥammad Khafājī. Date and place of copying not mentioned, probably in the 17th century in Egypt.
