Elner Greene discusses her experiences working in the Swift Mill, including a problem she had with a co-worker, the different positions she held (winding and spinning room), the reasons why she quit the mill, family members who worked in mills, wages, reunions of former spinning room workers, friends who worked in the mill, conditions for women, violence outside the mill, unions, work schedules, parking, the job tasks she enjoyed the most, a bed of snakes inside the mill, and on-the-job injuries.
