The collection consists of twenty-five letters, including: nine to Kenneth Barnes, some undated but circa 1938, about his work with the Open Air Theatre Committee and Sydney Carroll, and his other activities and interests, including cricket; one letter to My dear Marriot, 24 Aug. 1938, communicating problems experienced serving with the Open Air Theatre Committee; eight letters to Mr. Vijaya-Tunga, 1946-1947, discussing his work, with some social correspondence; a letter to My dear Binyon, 24 May circa 1947, introducing Vijaya-Tunga; one letter to My dear sir, 11 May [no year], making arrangements to meet, possibly to Vijaya-Tunga; five letters to Eric Gillett, circa 1947, about his work and activities; one postal card to Gillett, 4 July 1940, about a social engagement; picture post card, unaddressed, apparently accompanying a letter it references.

Clifford Bax was a diverse and talented writer, prolific and opinionated, perhaps best known for his verse plays.
