Letter of 16 July 1992, New Canaan, CT sent to RADM Joseph C. Wylie, regarding his service as CO, MTBS 15 in the Italian Theatre during WWII and problems of Command Control with the Royal Navy, the loss of amphibious scouts reconnoitering Anzio beaches prior to the assault, superiority of US radar, tactical doctrine, torpedoes, U.S. mission and role in combined command.

Hewitt, H. Kent (Henry Kent), 1887-1972

Hewitt was a 1906 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. He served in the European Theatre in WWII and was commander of amphibious invasions in North Africa, Sicily, Italy and Southern France.
