Elsa Hinchman Clark collection, 1862-1960s.

Guest book of the home of James P. Woodruff and Lillian Bell Woodruff (1895-1920) containing signatures and messages left by visitors as well as some photographs; telegram (inside the guest book) sent by James P. Woodruff to Harriet Toms (mother of Lillian Bell Woodruff) in 1895 and an 1862 program of the Galway Ladies' Seminary listing Harriet Toms as a participant. Collection also includes 10 sample greeting cards and one envelope produced by Lilac Hedges of Litchfield, Conn., some of which were designed by Ralph P. Hinchman. A later addition to the collection is a portfolio containing 28 sample Valentines, each stored in a gold folio, and a Christmas card made from a needlework designed and executed by Elsa Hinchman Clark.
