Micheal Anthony, novelist and historian, was born in Mayaro, Trinidad and Tobago in 1930. He worked in a foundry at the Pointe-a-Pierre oil refinery and later migrated to England in 1954. While in England, he wrote and published his first novel "The Games Were Coming" and also had his first short story broadcasted on BBC's Caribbean Voices.
