Hayes discusses his family, his parents' divorce, and his decision to join the Marines; basic training at Parris Island; his intelligence duties in Danang; flying Medevac missions out of Ky Ha; firing from and being shot down in helicopters; his study to become an aerial photograph interpreter; and cultural habits of the Vietnamese.
