May Garelick papers, 1957-1979.

Collection includes literary manuscripts, book production materials, and correspondence of May Garelick, an American author of children's books. Collection contains materials for eleven books, including notes, drafts, galley proofs, layouts, page proofs, book dummies, and original illustrations. The majority of the correspondence is between Garelick and her editors and publishers, mainly from Thomas Y. Crowell and Follett Publishing companies. Correspondence also includes a series of letters from school children thanking Garelick for school visits.
