William H. Churchill log books, 1851-1854.

Three log books kept by William H. Churchill of Portland, Connecticut. Churchill is listed in the 1860 census as being Master of a vessel. All three volumes contain records of voyages, though the destinations are not clear. The 1853 volume was later used for school work by Minnie Churchill, a student at Portland's Gildersleeve High School.
