Miscellany of notarial, legal, and financial documents, concerning the affairs of the Medici family, with a large number of items covering the lengthy dispute over the inheritance of Vincenzo de' Medici, who left his wife, Ottavia Altoviti, and their children a significant debt with the Monte di pietà̀. Other documents deal with the creation of the Capponi Medici bank by Andrea de' Medici and Neri Capponi; the management of the farms of the Medici family (including Trespiano and Valdinievole); the collection of the gabelle, taxes on various products and activities; business between the Medici Florentine counterparts; and iron and precious metals trade with Spain and the Far East. A few inventories of movable possessions found in Medici properties as well as petitions to Medici Grand-dukes are also present.
