Filza XV de signori Medici segnata con la lettera P, 1600-1610.

Collection of financial documents mostly concerning the operations of the mint of Pisa, founded and managed by Vincenzo de' Medici, who also acted as depositario generale (director) of the Florentine mint under Cosimo II and Ferdinando I de' Medici. According to the numerous coinage and payment orders (referred to as ordini), Vincenzo de' Medici, with the help of his two local managers in Pisa, Oratio di Lionardo Tempi and Giovan Filippo Bonaiuti, authorized the minting of large amounts of metallic currency (in particular with non precious metals) in the newly founded mint. Said currency was sometimes minted to satisfy the requests of local merchants, who required small change to run their everyday transactions.
