William Davis papers, circa 1910, 1930.

The papers consist of a 1930 letter from the law offices of Gilbert L. DupreĢ in Opelousas, La., to Davis lamenting that Huey P. Long "is a great scoundrel, a dishonest one, and yet he has succeeded." It further criticizes Long's behavior in the U.S. Senate. A copy print of Davis' portrait from sometime around 1910 is also included.

Huey Long Pierce, Louisiana governor and United States senator, was born 30 August 1893, near Winnfield, Winn Parish, Louisiana, and died 10 September 1935.
