Collection consists of 29 letters from Ruskin to Francis H. Butler (dated 1884-1889) discussing minerals, ordering stones for his collections, and in the later letters, mentioning his health problems; 21 letters from Ruskin to G.F. Watts (dated 1853-1886) about art and art criticism, and on personal matters; 1 letter from Ruskin to Mrs. Prinsep; 2 letters from W.G. Collingwood (dated 27 and 30 July 1885); and 1 letter from Joan Severn (dated 28 July 1907) to Francis H. Butler.
