Contains correspondence, corrected galleys, final manuscripts (some with annotations) and original copies of poems, publications and newspaper clippings chiefly related to the works of Activist poets. Also contains business correspondence of Woolmer/Brotherson Publishers, Inc., from numerous authors and publishers related to publishing rights, contracts, and copyright releases for poetry. Also includes some personal correspondence (1921 to present) of Robert Brotherson.

Rosalie Moore was born Gertrude Elizabeth Moore in Oakland, California on October 8, 1910. A widely-published poet and author, Moore's work has appeared in many periodicals and published volumes. She collaborated on a series of children's books with her husband, Bill Brown. Moore taught basic writing and creative writing classes at the College of Marin in Kentfield, California until her retirement in 1976. She died June 18, 2003. Robert Dale Brotherson was a member of the Berkeley Activist Poets. He changed his last name from Botherson. Robert Joseph Botherson, Brotherson's father, was a Canadian military officer and participated in World Wars I and II. Nellie Keas, Brotherson's mother, was a silent film actress.
