Carlo de' Medici financial documents, 1496-1605.

Financial documents (mostly credit records, memoranda, receipts and miscellaneous accounts with a large number of counterparts, including the Risaliti, the Altoviti, the Detti, and the Ricasoli) of Carlo de' Medici (Folders 49-57) and his heirs (Folders 58-62), concerning the family textile and silk business, as well as Carlo's activities as a tax collector for the government of Florence during the second half of the 16th century. Legal documents and proceedings regarding a lawsuit between Carlo de' Medici and the Arte della lana are also present. Two oversize credit record for small cash transactions dated 1538 and 1572 are also present (Folder 513).
