Petitions (Folders 80-90) to the grand-duke Cosimo II de' Medici from numerous individuals, including members of the Medici family, such as Vincenzo and Carlo de' Medici, concerning a wide range of topics (e.g. debt cancellation; slave trade, principally with Spain; precious metal trade for the Florentine mint; and controversies between family members); and a few letters and financial documents (Folders 77-79), dealing with state finance, tax collection, and customs administration. An oversize financial record dated 1620 is stored separately (Folder 514).
