Outdoor photograph of Emma and Del Babb taken in South Thomaston, Me., in front of the house of his father, Harrison Patterson Babb (1824-1905). Del Babb was the photographer's brother-in-law and was boss weaver, assistant superintendent, and assistant treasurer of the Knox Woolen Company in Camden. His wife Emma was born Emily Teresa Longfellow, in Australia, the daughter of Abram and Kate (Neil) Longfellow. Her father, a miner, was born in Palermo, Me.; her mother was born in Plymouth, England.
