Business and family correspondence, bills and receipts, and legal documents relating to two families living and working in New York City, Albany, New York, and Norwalk, Connecticut, involved in the mercantile trade. Includes estate records of Lewis Raymond, bills for wharfage and towing and repairs to the Sloop Stephen Raymond, deeds, and a bill of sale for a portion of the Sloop Sarah Isabella of Oyster Bay, New York. Also includes correspondence, 1867, to Reverend Arthur Day of Darien Station, Connecticut, from the Adjutant General's Office, regarding obtaining a pension for the child of William J. Ferris. Family members included in the collection are Catharine Raymond, and Nicholas, Edward and John R. Vincent.
