King Edward VII collection, 1860-1901 (bulk 1860).

Collection includes four handwritten items pertaining to ceremonies in Montreal on August 25, 1860, when the Prince of Wales inaugurated the Victoria Bridge across the St. Lawrence River, and one item of paper ephemera, a souvenir of Edward VII's coronation in 1901. The Victoria Bridge materials relate specifically to the Marquis of Chandos' attendance at the inauguration ceremony; two handwritten passes, a printed invitation, and a 4 p. autograph letter from August (?) Hayward on mourning stationary, dated Ravenswood, W. Port Hope, August 9, 1860 to the Marquis inviting him to visit and recalling the previous hospitality of the Prince of Wales.
