Herbert J. Rasor was born in Lethbridge, Alta., Canada in 1911 and immigrated to Portland, Or. in 1926. During WWII, Rasor joined the 10th Mountain Division and was assigned to the 87th Infantry Regiment, Company C, later with the Mountain Training Group and the 85th Infantry Regiment, Company A. A ski Instructor at Camp Hale, Colo., Rasor was also served at Fort Lewis, Wash.; Fort Ord, Calif.; Camp Swift, Tex. and in Italy. He attained the rank of Master Sergeant. Rasor died in Ariz. in 2005. ...
